Wood Firing Activation

“Wood firing is an ongoing practice within my work — part performance, part ritual, part process.’
The fire demands full presence, full consciousness. In return, it leaves its mark on every piece in ways that cannot be programmed or repeated.
The kiln itself is a collaborator. So is everyone tending it. What emerges carries collective attention, shared labor, the quiet ritual of people gathered around a common heat — invisibly, but completely.
Objects that are not only visually striking, but emotionally inhabited. Marked by time, by fire, by the presence of everyone who kept watch.
Wood firing is a philosophy as much as a process — where fire is not a tool, but a full co-author.
